Teachers need to provide students with many differing opportunities to process new information. A moderate amount of novelty will increase attention, interest, and learning.

Suggestions to teachers:
- change the order you do things
- have partner “B” go first, or let the loser be the winner
- use interesting, unusual props, visuals, sounds, etc.
- provide a variety of activities for each topic
- move, touch, be active
